George Robey as Sir John Falstaff in "King Henry IV (Part 1)"

George Arliss, the much-admired star of Gaumont-British Films, is a man whose personal characteristics are so strong that they defy disguise. Through the whole range of parts which have made him one of the most famous of screen actors, Arliss is always there, and the art of make-up becomes for him a simple question of light and colouring. Except for a little arrangement of wig and nose, and the discarding of an eye-glass, the portraits are identical.
