Born in Welsh village. Scored sensational success on stage and screen in "The Frightened Lady." Author of stage play, "A Murder Has Been Arranged," also of "Port Said," which he wrote and produced.
Emlyn Williams (1905 - 1987). The multi-talented actor, writer, director was ubiquitous in 30s film and stage. In film he appeared in projects as diverse as Jamaica Inn, Evensong and the abandoned version of I Claudius (as Caligula). Today he is best known as author of The Corn is Green and Night Must Fall.
