Born Mercury Bay (N.Z.). Height 6 ft. 1 in.; age 42. Lieut. N.Z. Forces during the Great War. Formed "Famous Diggers" company and toured world. Appeared at Royal Command performances. First talking pictures, "Diggers" (Efftee) and "Diggers in Blighty."
Pat Hanna (1888 - 1973). His cinema work was exclusively Australian and he only made one other feature, Waltzing Matilda. He remained a popular broadcaster, though he put much of his energies into various business ventures such as the game Batinton and a new type of grenade.
