Born Montreal, Canada. Age 54: height 6 ft. Distinguished career on stage and screen. Starred in both the silent and talkie versions of "Carnival." Hobbies: old literature and sailing.

 

Matheson Lang (1879 - 1948). Scored a big hit in 1919 with the film version of his stage role Mr Wu. By the mid-20s he was Britain's leading screen actor but was then eclipsed by Ivor Novello. Last film The Cardinal (1936).
