Born London. Studied for stage at Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Distinguished stage career, including leading West End roles. Made talking picture debut in Edgar Wallace's "Whiteface."
Leslie Perrins (1902 - 1962). He made several talkies before Whiteface including the first Arthur Wontner Sherlock Holmes story The Sleeping Cardinal. Perrins was usually a smoothy villain in films such as Rhythm in the Air. Over the course of his career he appeared in over 60 films.
